Perfect fit. I only give four stars for the price. It's expensive for what it is. For this price I would expect at least factory spring hardware. Others have mentioned replacing the o-ring on the drain tube. My car has over 60,000 miles on it and I haven't changed it. Sealed, no leaks. Overall it's worth it if you're using a stock downpipe.

For those who, like me, could not find any information about my problem on the Internet. This worked perfectly to fit a Wrx sedan exhaust to my '09 Forester X. . This worked great for my 2016 STI and installing Tomei Ti on my stock downpipe. Actually it didn't occur to me until after the installation and I'm not sure how an aftermarket downpipe would make a difference, but if I hadn't used the Grimmspeed adapter and went straight to the stock downpipe with Tomei's included hardware, I would really be assuming the exhaust tip doesn't protrude an inch or so beyond the diffuser so it can stay under the diffuser and most likely, in my opinion at least…
