Great at removing scratches, just be sure to use softer pads

I use these for light scratches often, they work well and last a reasonable number of times. Just make sure you have softer pads and polishes for touch up as they will leave swirls on the paintwork gloss but that's not the pads fault. Any pad that removes scratches will also leave curls (although the product packaging says they don't leave curls). I then apply the yellow pads with the same abrasive paste and then the black pads with a quality liquid wax which gives great results.

Beginner's Tools and Equipment Review

My review is written from a beginner's point of view. The pad is a little pricey just looking at the pad. I worked hard on 3 large SUVs and 1 sedan before getting rid of them. The pad has detached from the base. I just washed it after each use. The tablet's value for me is the Griot color coding system, video and phone support. I have no idea about other systems or pads. I went with this system and got great results without ruining the paint. I think I can prolong the life of the pad by…

Would not buy again or recommend

This work is really great and in good condition seems to last longer than another brand of feed I use. However, they have a significant disadvantage, due to which they are really difficult or almost impossible to use. On the back of the pads they have the Griot logo printed and as it is velcro the printed material will gradually start to come off leaving a lot of these tiny bits flying around the work area and not soft once they get under the Pad arrive they leave more scratches. I won't buy…

Good pillow. Would buy again.

I used this seal with 3M Marine Restorer & Wax (09006) on a used boat I bought. The boat was heavily oxidized on the upper hull and had orange seawater stains from the waterline down. I used a pneumatic buffer. I was surprised at how well it removes oxidation and stains with medium to light pressure on the pad. I beat the crap out of the pad and it's still holding up. My project was multi-day, so at the end of the day I rinsed the mat and sprayed it with water from a spray bottle to rinse it…

Good correction power, but not durable at all.

NOTE: GRIOT'S GARAGE DOES NOT ACCEPT THIS REVIEW ON THEIR WEBSITE BECAUSE IT STATES THAT IT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THEIR WEBSITE POLICIES! I bought a set of 3 of these bars from Revain. I have mixed feelings about these pads. I find the density of the foam itself to be very good. I have used them 3-4 times on my PC7424XP. One of the pads collapsed in the middle and the other two had the velcro loosened and the foam falling apart. Overall, I'm disappointed with the durability of the pads, but I'm…

3 " Orange Correcting Pads (not "polish ")

The correct name for this product is actually "Griot's Garage 3" Orange Foam Correcting Pad. ("Buff" has one other technical meaning in the detailing world.) Orange is the color that Griot uses for all of their correction pads, so I knew what I was buying, but it might not be that obvious to everyone. (If you look in the Griot series for If you are looking for a real polishing pad, check out the yellow "Perfecting" pad.) Either way, this is a great 3" corrective pad. Ideal for 3" baseplate. but

Great pad but too soft

I was short on time and couldn't get my favorite Lake Country Flat Orange pads in time so I ordered them with Prime Shipping. These griot pads are exceptionally well made and look like they will withstand multiple vehicles. The problem is that this pad is too soft for the orange pad so there are fewer cuts. I wanted a little more reduction, even with Honda's softer finish. In terms of cut, they're halfway between a regular orange pad and a white polishing pad. For easy correction of softer…

The last design has changed and I found a cheaper last that is better.

These pads have changed in quality and shape/design. The previous 3 inch griot pads held up much better and didn't warp unless you heated them too much. This new design turns the pads into flying saucers after just 1 use. The center of the pad flattens out and the pad starts to wobble or behave strangely on the DA polisher. The foam then starts tearing from the side as soon as the wobble occurs. I preferred the old design and let myself decide which the heck made me try a cheap set of 3 inch…
