Serves its purpose but smaller than expected

It's almost certainly a human factor in the purchase estimate, but many of the bowls I flip are undersized. For small projects, they work well. The hinge is a little tight but that's what you want. Sand one or both ends so you don't scratch your projects (points are accurate enough if that's not a problem)

What good is a brake caliper if it cannot be opened and closed.

This caliper set is very low quality! First, one of the calipers was riveted so tightly that it was impossible to open. No force could open the caliper. What good is a brake caliper if you can't open and close it? The other two calipers were also fully riveted and required too much force to use. Their measuring tips are so sharp that they can damage the wooden bowls or vessels to be measured. In general, it's just unacceptable! They were brought back to Revane. DO NOT BUY THIS SET.

Too tight for use on calipers and spacers

Rivets too tight, require a lot of force to open and close. I've tried silicone spray and wiggling my hands to try to loosen it, but to no avail. Will probably send them back. Otherwise, size, shape and material are fine. Update: They were replaced and the next set was even worse. Apparently, quality control is on vacation. If you just want to open and close them, you probably don't need the right caliper. If you don't mind fighting them and hoping they loosen up over time, that's up to you…
