Batteries LiOn and 16ga 99% copper

At first I ordered OCO and after working with 18ga; A 40w soldering iron burned the copper and nothing stuck to the aluminum. Some of the heavier lithium ion batteries required the 16 and 14 gauge and the 16 ga 99% copper (non-CCA) gauge was perfect for the projects. The wire was perfect; the insulation was good; the price was right; and delivery is great.

Great Oxygen Free Copper Wire: Automotive Electronics Accessories

This is a great wire. I bought a few spools of wire from these guys because it's pure oxygen free copper and no CCA crap. And it's a zip line! I'm very happy with the wire itself. Can be soldered and bent normally. Makes all my lighting and equipment very good. The only downside is that the shell isn't labeled or labeled at all. It doesn't really matter to me because I only use it for automotive stuff, but maybe it matters to someone. Came on a nice and thick plastic spool

This is the real deal

I'm often skeptical about buying wire from Amazon given the wide range of quality I've seen. I've seen wire advertised as "pure copper" that was clearly copper plated steel or something. This stuff is real. It is very flexible, the jacket is durable and is true to size. I didn't count the strands, but there are plenty of them, as you would expect from good quality stranded wire. I highly recommend this material. I bought the highest quality brand Powerwerx, but at the highest price. This stuff…

Works well in non-automotive applications

Was looking for a solid cable to connect 12V DC under the counter of Puck LED lights. Although my application wasn't as strict as the original car application, it worked well for my setup. Unlike other wires offered for this application, it is heavier gauge for less voltage loss and has a very durable coating that can be easily removed with standard electrical wire strippers. Another plus is that like the wire attached to the Puck Lights it is red and black so it was easy to get the correct…

Lionel Fastrack in amplifier installation

GS Power 100% Copper 16 AWG (American Wire Gauge) stranded, flexible twin conductor Connected works great with Fastrack connectors. Fairly easy to get the wire into the connectors and a wire cutout to hold the connectors in place fits very well. See photos. I chose the GS because the 99.9% oxygen-free copper wire is very important to me. I had an old Lionel steamer that takes a lot of load from a ZW transformer. The ZW sends all of its combined power to a single motor, which easily overheats…

Pros
  • Versatile - Prepare for any electrical project with heavy-duty 16 AWG cable. It is ideal for home theater sound systems, amplifiers, car audio, robotics, LED lights and RC applications.
Cons
  • Big and chunky

High quality wire at a reasonable price.

This is a high quality 16 AWG zip cable at a very affordable price. The conductor is actually copper, not copper clad aluminum or steel, so it's very flexible and easy to solder. High quality insulation; It is resistant to hydrocarbons (gasoline, oil, etc.) and is rated for temperatures up to 176F (80C), making it suitable for use in most automotive engine compartments as long as it is within inches of the cylinder block , exhaust manifold and other high temperature parts. The conductors are…

Pros
  • Rugged - Our 16 gauge speaker wire is resistant to oils and gases, and with a temperature range of -40 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit, it's PVC insulated to protect the copper core.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

No pathetic aluminum with copper coating.

16 gauge wire is big enough for my system. Heck, the cables that come with my stereo, Copomonet speakers and amps are 20 or 24 gauge. I'm pretty sure the cable will be more than enough. I install a mono subwoofer, a four-way amplifier for the subwoofer outputs and the front of the stereo. I'm going to put 20 speakers apart from the subwoofer at only 100 watts per channel and the sub will be 150 watts. There are 21 in total. Nothing special, just a good clean sound. I've been working on the…
