Description of GSP NCV53553 Axle Shaft Assembly

GSP CV Axles are engineered to provide OE fit, form, and function - premium materials, coupled with precise machining and balancing, ensure smooth, vibration free performance in all driving conditions. Since boot failure is the main cause of CV axle failure, our axles use only premium grade neoprene boots that ensure robust abrasion and extreme temperature resistance, preserving boot integrity. Assembled with a specially formulated, high-temperature Moly grease that resists friction and wear, contributing to a lifetime of smooth, dependable performance. All axles are thoroughly inspected for quality and workmanship, and because we believe in the exceptional quality of our components, every axle comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Left Front (Driver Side); 24-13/16 inch compressed length; 27 spline outer joint; 29 spline inner joint; 44 tooth ABS ring. For select 1998-01 Nissan Altima vehicles (verify fitment details with fit checker above).

Just got mine - it's FOR THE LEFT HAND (DRIVER'S SIDE) as pictured!

For some reason a recent question "Answers" and "Garage Revain" indicate that this axle shaft is for the right (passenger) side of a 2001 Nissan Altima is. Put a loud buzzer here as this is WRONG! The GSP NCV53553 common shaft assembly is indeed designed for the LEFT (DRIVER SIDE) 2001 Nissan Altima. It is the same as the product photos and labeled description. Mine looks fine and I don't expect any problems installing it. By the way, I already installed the right axle shaft in my Altima and it

Pros
  • Gearbox and transmission
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok
