Much better than the Yeti!

This mug is fantastic. It's way better than the Yeti equivalent that I also own. Pros: β€’ It doesn't leak when it's closed (unlike my Yeti which leaks everywhere) β€’ It's VERY quick and easy to take apart for cleaning β€’ It's a nice shape and size β€’ It keeps water very hot for a very long time ( 5 hours) Cons: β€’ It's a bit heavier than my other travel mugs. It doesn't bother me as it looks solid and well made.

Works well but started to wear out after a few weeks of use

Comfortable, good size, easy to clean - but I was disappointed when after just a few weeks of use the paint started to wrinkle and peel off the underside. It's been three months now and the paint has almost completely worn off leaving a shiny stainless steel finish. See photo. The glass was used indoors only and was not placed on a rough textured surface so I'm not sure why this happened.

Not as robust as the Sipp design

Body in perfect order: metal typical of thermos flasks, retains heat well, easy to clean by hand. But the lid is a different story. Not happy with this design. The latch inside can come loose too easily, and then the cup will leak (as found from personal experience). The old design was much safer and leak proof. There's not really a slide lock to open it, so I don't entirely trust it to stay closed in a backpack or bag. I will be buying the last of the push button sippy cups which in my opinion

REAL capacity approx. 13 oz. because you cannot fill beyond the line printed inside. Why? Because the lid is huge and deep. If you put soda in it, the pressure will rise and the damper won't open! And good luck unscrewing the cap if that happens. To add to the injury, it doesn't keep cold drinks cold, which is why I bought it. And don't get me started on how difficult it is to clean the lid and all of its parts. . Obviously I've used it, so I can't return it. Maybe I'll try it with coffee this…

Annoying "fatal " design flaw.

sorry i wanted to love this but i can't. I ordered a replacement but it has the same design flaw. Please see my "dirty" photo showing the lid and gasket components. There is an "opener" at the top which, like a plunger, releases the seal at the bottom for you to take a sip. When closed, the piston seal rises and the drops cannot escape. It's convenient and efficient, except you see that little 'key' at the top of the plunger? It is designed to be removed for cleaning. Unfortunately, it doesn't…

ATTENTION! BIG DESIGN FAILURE

First of all I would like to say that I am a big fan of Thermos and their products. I use this travel mug primarily for coffee and it keeps the coffee hot as advertised. The problem lies in the disk used to "seal" the cup and prevent it from spilling when the lid is closed. I've had a "spill" twice in the past, which I would compare to drinking a cold drink with ice, and the ice momentarily creates a dam preventing the drink from passing until the cup is lifted high enough will and the ice and…
