They Don't Leak For Rough Plumbing

If you've had leaks on push-fit fittings but have used cheaper brands, that's a problem. As long as you square the tube and insert it all the way, JG fittings will not leak. This valve has a copper reinforcement ring at the bottom. You can't see it on the Revain image, but you can see it if you look at the NPT inlet. The valve that came with my tank didn't have that.

Quality and years of trouble free performance

Superb products from JG. One fitting was launched in late 2014 and another was just purchased to be added to a reverse osmosis storage tank. Both are still high quality, nothing flimsy here. No leaks from day one. Has what appears to be a brass ring to prevent stretching or splitting. The fitting is 90° female 1/4" NPT shut-off and 3/8" OD hose. View of the matching collet, 3/8 ID for inserting 3/8" OD tubing.

Doesn't leak. Works perfectly!

Used to replace the RO tank that came with a 1/4" x 1/4" check valve. First, I tried a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter recommended by the local hardware store. It dripped and wouldn't stop dripping no matter how hard I tried. I saw this valve at Revain and thought it might be worth a try for just over $8. It worked great. Light switch. No drips or leaks. Fast and inexpensive solution. Very happy.

It may not be the part you are looking for.

This product is labeled correctly, but many reviewers are unaware they ordered the wrong part. If you are unsure about ordering this product, READ IT! If you are purchasing this product to add to a small holding tank for a reverse osmosis system, you must first confirm tube selection. Most systems use 1/4" hose and a 1/4" threaded connection on the tank. This product has a 1/4 NPTF port which is a threaded part. The push-in fitting is designed for large 3/8" hose. If you have a SMALL 1/4…

NOT AS DESCRIBED. for pipes, fittings and accessories

I bought this item a few weeks ago because I wanted to replace my broken reverse osmosis tank and wanted a completely new installation. According to the company (John Guest USA), this item is a 3/8" x 1/4" angle check valve. Since most if not all reverse osmosis systems have a 3/8" male thread on the tank and 1/4" tubing to/from the tank, this was a necessary item. However, when I received the item in the mail, I immediately noticed that something was wrong. The plumbing hole was much larger…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Almost OK
