Just right! in my review

This is for my grandaughter - 22 mos old. It's perfect because it's not easy for her to screw the parts in yet - she doesn't know that you have to keep doing that action, but she's enjoying it anyway. She loves a good challenge and it's great to see her practice over and over til she gets it right. It's nicely made, simple and well packaged.

Pros
  • Reinforces number concepts
Cons
  • May not be as age-appropriate for all children

Great gift in my review

A very good gift for a toddler. The quality is outstanding!First my daughter used her fingers to unscrew, and now she's ready to use the screwdriver included in the set. She loves playing with it.

Pros
  • This product is great! Wonderful Montessori toy and much better price than the monti kids.
Cons
  • May not provide enough stimulation for older children

Great toy, well done, will recomend

My son is 15 months. This toy is great for learning the principle of screwing and unscrewing. But I think 15 months is still a little early (at least for us). My son plays with it but when he can't unscrew one of the bolts he looses the interest. The toy is made of really good peace of wood. Paining is solid and doesn't go away even after being in my child's mouth. I would definitely recommend it!

Pros
  • Great for fine motor skills.
Cons
  • Could easily get mixed up with other blocks or toys

Kids love the screwdriver

Extremely durable and well made. Kids love the screwdriver, but can use the toy without it. Great fine motor practice. May not provide enough opportunities for creative problem-solving!

Pros
  • Provides cognitive challenges appropriate for young children
Cons
  • May not provide enough opportunities for creative problem-solving

Very happy grandson

4 stars because I only saw the toy in use on Xmas day, but it was a hit with our 2yr 7m old grandson. Sturdy, simple, somewhat challenging without being daunting. As described. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Early Development & Activity Toys
Cons
  • May require adult supervision for younger children

Thought provoking on my review.

Put on top of the screw set. After trying to get them in by banging, the thread got caught by accident. When he couldn't pull it out he twisted I think by accident, then he screwed them in. Interesting to watch this happen. Will be 2 in March.

Pros
  • Improves logical reasoning skills
Cons
  • May not provide enough entertainment value to justify the cost

Great gender neutral toy for busy toddler

Our 2.5 year old daughter is fascinated with tools and fixing things. This toy provides a nice challenge and opportunity to learn about color matching, left and right, and fine motor skills. We love that the driver stores with the block and that the whole thing is wood rather than plastic.

Pros
  • Facilitates social interaction
Cons
  • May require constant supervision to prevent choking or other accidents

Great, Good Quality Little Toy

My 2 year old and my bigger kids actually really love this toy. Great little toy to keep him entertained, since he loves to unscrew and twist caps off of other things. Also it is a good quality toy.

Pros
  • Develops social skills and encourages teamwork
Cons
  • May not be as fun as toys that allow for physical activity or movement

Screws do not fit properly

Love this brand but this product is useless. The screws do not all fit properly which would be frustrating for an adult so imagine a toddler. I bought this for my 18 month old but only let him play with it once.

Pros
  • Enables kids to learn through play
Cons
  • May not be as sturdy as other toys on the market

Sometimes, it's the simplest toys.

We love this toy. A perfect "stocking stuffer" for christmas. It keeps my 2 year old busy for hours! Between the fine motor skills of twisting the screws, lining up the screw driver etc and the color matching, it's a very educational toy as well.

Pros
  • Helps improve problem-solving skills
Cons
  • May not keep kids' attention for very long

Most popular toy in the house!

I don't know any child who doesnt enjoy twisting, turning, & taking apart things. This has been a hit for months at our house, its periodically forgotten for a day or two and rediscovered with great delight. The construction is very well made, everything is smooth and the parts are well painted. The screwdriver may be a little difficult for little hands to get out initially, but everything else, provided they're turning the screws the right way, is easy :).

Pros
  • Enhances problem-solving abilities
Cons
  • May not be very appealing to children who prefer more exciting or flashy toys
