Almost doesn't work.

I bought this for my two 5 gallon tanks - one acrylic and one glass. The magnet doesn't seem strong enough as it only lifts very light foam off the surface. It simply glides over algae stains or heavier residue. And even for a small aquarium, this cleaner is so tiny it takes forever to clean. I really cannot recommend this product.

Great cleaner for Fluval Edge 6 gal.

Bought Fluval EDGE (6 gal) for my tank. This is a good size for such a small aquarium. I was apprehensive about buying an algae cleaner after reading that low iron tanks scratch so easily, but since it's made for glass and acrylic I figured it was the safer choice. I like that it floats and takes up little space in the aquarium. I'm used to driving only bubbles in the tank, but there are no scratches!

Cleans glass very well!

I originally bought the big one with the scraper for my 75 gallon tank and was very impressed! It works very well and admittedly is fun! I was impressed enough to order another Mini for my 14 gallon tank. The mini works very well, but not as well as the big one. The magnet seems adequate for the thickness of the glass, but without a scraper and using a weaker magnet, it takes many more passes to get the same cleaning effect. Overall it's still pretty cool and gets the job done!

not worth your money.

The magnet is not strong enough. Too weak to scrape algae off my 1 gallon acrylic betta tank. And also the product doesn't look like a real mag float magnet. I have two original Mag-Float magnets of different sizes that I bought at the store. A real mag float will have a patent number on the back of one of the magnets. The magnet I have now bought does not have a patent number on the back. Although the photo in the product description states the patent number. My two mag float magnets are light

Works perfectly! c Aquarium cleaner

I've been working in pet shops for 30 years. Have recommended this for years. Other brands suck. This is the brand to buy. I hear complaints about this magnet, firstly it works great on glass tanks. Tiny, very small. Great for tanks up to 10 gallons! 10 gallon tank for the next size up. The magnet is strong enough, you have to give a little to get through the corners! If he breaks up, give him a second, they will get back together. Remember this is great for everyday use on algae! If you have a

Teriffic Magnetic Aquarium Glass Cleaner

This is my second mag float cleaner. My original is small, about 50% larger than this one. However, this works great in my son's 3 gallon hex tank. Cleans glass (plastic) perfectly and effortlessly. We usually just leave it out of sight in the back of the tank. The magnets are SUPER strong and do a great job of holding the cleaner to the tank wall and removing debris. If you loosen the magnetic connection, it's easy to restore it. Because it floats, the flow of water in the filter simply pushes
