Excellent unit, batteries last a long time. Use them on my rig for 3 weeks, the overflow batteries keep working. They've been on my truck for almost 3 months and they're still working great! I want to say right away that I don't know much about cars but I do tend to run over nails. If there is a nail on a huge road and a lot of cars are driving on it, then luckily for me my car will be the only one that will pass it. I also can't usually tell when a tire is flat until a family member reminds me it's flat. So, with that disclaimer I have to say I had to go through the manual to figure out how to set this up because I don't know how to read psi or what a normal psi is for that matter

I stopped hiking this year but tested it on my truck. I put two of these on two front wheels and rode around for a couple of hours. I compared the pressure readings with the wheel mounted TPMS units. They were pretty close, within 1/2 psi. When I removed the sensors from the valve stem, the monitor unit beeped to warn of low pressure, which is good. I ordered this kit for my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon coupe which did not have a tire pressure monitoring system from the factory.
