Gutermann 1001S-20 Serger Thread in White - High Quality 1094 yd Spool for Sewing Projects Review

as soon as I bought the price dropped by half. could have sworn it was listed as 4 packs but only got 1. overpriced for the product.

Two of the four spools I received were Gutermann's advertised thread. Two of these were odd nylon crap that instantly turned into a wispy mess I wouldn't dare run through my precious serger. I don't have time to make the replacement so I'll probably check tonight to see if I can find the right thread. Of course it would be much easier if they sent me what I actually ordered.

Gutermann make one of my favorite threads and this is no exception. The spool fits the stapler spindle but also fits my 40 year old Pfaff spindle and moves smoothly around the machine. Hand sewing is also smooth and the thread doesn't snap much in stressful applications. Made in Germany, the spool is plastic and the label on the bottom has a slot that fits onto the machine's spindle without the need to tear or remove it. I like it so I'll know exactly what thread it's on if there's a thread…
