If there's an issue where it stops working and you've already replaced the batteries, all you have to do is press your TV's type button and the power button at the same time for 10 seconds. There is always a lot of debate about whether generics are just as good as well-known brands. I can say that according to my dog there is no discernible difference in the instance of this remote control. She ate a Roku brand remote and a few weeks later was more than happy to eat that remote too.
