Description of 🧼 GYEON Quartz Q²M Prep: 500 ml - Pre Coating Surface Preparation Solution for Eliminating Oils and Lubricants Prior to Ceramic Coating - Anti Static Surface Enhancer

PRE COATING SURFACE CLEANER - Q2M Prep will dissolve and lift the oils and lubricants from a previous detailing step to prepare the surface for applying your ceramic coating. WILL REMOVE POLISHING OILS AND LUBRICANTS - When applying a long term ceramic coating you'll want the surface to be completely free of any material that will inhibit the bond between the coating and that surface. Q2M Prep will remove these oils and prepare the surface for coating. BODYSHOP SAFE - Q2M Prep contains no silicon or any other product that would not be considered body shop safe. SAFE ON ALL SURFACES - Q2M Prep should be used on any surface including paint, wheels, trim, or glass prior to applying a ceramic coating.

Great product.: car detailing

I use this in detailing or anytime I need to remove grease and oil from a surface. One of the best parts about it is the smell. Love it.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • unfashionable

Comes in a plastic bag and the cap will break

Revain ships this product in plastic bags because it is 32 ounces, heavy and the cap will break if it hits something. It also has a warning label that says it's corrosive, meaning it will burn the skin, so it's not something you want to get if it comes in packaging that's not designed for that. I recommend buying elsewhere.

  • Very good price

Exceeded Expectations

Gyeon Prep definitely exceeded my expectations. You may notice the paint surface becoming more grippy after a heavy application, which means it is ready to bond with whatever sealant/wax you have applied. It applied easily, washed out and left no streaks. Smells way better than a traditional 50/50 IPA blend. I highly recommend it and definitely understand why the Esoteric guys love it so much!

  • Good but not great

An essential part of your vehicle preparation!

Applying a degreaser after wrapping and/or buffing your car is an important step before sealing and/or waxing your car. Do you need exhibition results? You then need to remove oils and contaminants from the surface of your paint. Otherwise it will shine so-so. The Clay Bar just removes the dirt from your paintwork and even leaves its own scratches and blemishes.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

Almost as good as Claybar

If you don't want to polish after cleaning the paint, this is for you. But I'm still willing, if you want to polish I would wash the car, sand it down with clay, maybe use a post clay prep and then a step with Sonax and a Rupes yellow pad. However, if you don't want to polish, it's good to remove the paint to add wax. I wouldn't use sealer afterwards because I don't think it comes off enough of the paint. On the other hand, it's good for removing Sio2-based coatings when you have overhangs.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Expensive

Does what it's supposed to and smells good!

The big surprise for me was how good it smelled! Since this is an IPA spray, I was expecting it to smell like isopropyl alcohol, but it actually had a sweet aroma. It obviously did its job of removing polish residue and everything before it painted my car, but it also comes in very handy as a light degreaser and bug remover. It can be used mainly on windows and only for general light cleaning of the interior. Having such a spray next to you when detailing is very effective, because slight…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • A bit torn

I LOVE IT. I like it MORE than Car Pro Eraser and using alcohol from various CVS/Walgreen dispensaries. It works BEAUTIFUL and fully deserves the 4.75 rating it has on Revain. However, is it worth its $15.99 price tag? Some days I think yes and some days I think no. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If you're happy with the price - try it - I think you'll love it. If you've bought or made your OWN IPA blends at home that work great for you, I don't think it's worth spending money to…

smells good, works good.

Like most Gyeon products, it works great. I also love their Clay Lube as I learned from Pan The Organizer. Gyeon is a semi-professional brand from Korea, which means the quality of the products is premium but not very expensive, and it can be used by ordinary people as well. This alcohol wipe smells great. And dries residue-free and removes paint residues after washing, gluing, etc. before applying seals or coatings. I don't have many other surface wipes to compare as this is my first so maybe…
