This is my second bass bamboo brush. The first lasted about 10 years before all the pins (bristles) started falling out. Life would be less exciting without this brush because it is my daily scalp massage. The wooden bristles have perfectly rounded tips, making it a pleasure to run them over the scalp. This brush is over 2 years old. Only one pin fell out and only one broke. To me, that's great, and some of that might be due to the rough hair removal. The hair removal is my only complaint: the hairs get caught under the bobby pins and you have to move them aside and pluck them out with tweezers. Glad I don't have OCD. If you don't like combing your hair, that's great! If you have to take everything out after every cleaning: look elsewhere.

Although I regret not buying it from a junk shop I really like this bass brush. It's shiny to the touch so it's probably a bit waterproof, and the bristles are pretty scalp-friendly. I've been using Lily England metal wig brushes and detangling brushes for the past two years due to a hair injury so I was really hoping for a good wood transition experience.
