Terrible Soldering Tool for Industrial Use

This soldering tool is a complete waste of time and money. It's supposed to be an industrial-grade product, but it can barely hold up to basic tasks. The build quality is poor and the temperature control is inconsistent, making it impossible to get reliable results. The only positive is that it's small and easy to maneuver, but that doesn't make up for its numerous flaws. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a reliable soldering tool.

Pros
  • Small and easy to maneuver.
Cons
  • Poor build quality, inconsistent temperature control, not reliable for industrial use.

Ideal for working with SMD.

This tip is excellent for soldering fine pitch SMD components. I use it to solder an ATmega328 TQFP which works great with this tip.

Pros
  • Dimensions: 2.5mm / 45 x 10mm
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

This is the best surface mount soldering iron tip ever made

This is the best surface mount soldering iron tip ever made. Did I just say that? Yes. That's great. You also need a regular QFN bevel. But for the most part, this tip makes it better, faster, and easier than anything you've ever used.

Pros
  • Shape: Beveled
Cons
  • Slightly torn
