Description of Hamilton Beach Electric Stand Mixer, 4 Quarts: Dough Hook, Flat Beater Attachments, Splash Guard, 7 Speeds with Whisk - Black with Top Handle: A Comprehensive Review and Buying Guide

Same mixing action as KitchenAid stand mixers. This mixer performs better than 2-beater stand mixers, and features the popular tilt-up head design for adding ingredients and changing attachments quickly. Baking with ease: Effortlessly mix thick batters and doughs like breads, pizza, cookies, mashed potatoes and more with a powerful, 300 watt motor. Complete bowl coverage: No scraping necessary. Mix hands-free with excellent results every time. Planetary mixing rotates the beaters around the 4 quart, stainless steel bowl, for even and complete mixing. Mixing versatility: Includes splash guard, dough hook, whisk and flat beater. Wipe outside of stand mixer with a damp cloth or sponge and dry. 7 speeds and mixing guide: Go from a slow stir to a fast mix, with exact control at each setting. A helpful guide at the mixer’s top lets you know which speed to use for various mixing methods. Inexpensive blender!

This is a great standard mixer without the big expense. I baked two dozen cookies (cradle knife), pizza dough (kneading hook), french toast (mustache attachment), and English muffin bread (dough hook) in two days of delivery! The attachments are dishwasher safe, but I prefer hand washing and it's really easy. Suction cups on the bottom keep the machine on the counter during use. It is VERY light and easy to move. This is a good stand mixer for a beginner cook or for basic baking. I couldn't be…

Works better than the competition at an affordable price.

I needed a blender to make a large batch of gingerbread men and this blender did the job. My sister said I had to knead the remaining dry ingredients by hand because the mixer couldn't do it. She was wrong and I'm glad she was wrong. Kneading a thick dough by hand is quite tedious. The only downside I could find was that the nozzles had trouble pulling ingredients from the sides of the bowl, which were about 1/4 inch short. Just have a squeegee handy to help the blender from time to time until…

Great value for money. Works very well.

This blender is a great blender for the price. I've been hesitant to go from a two racquet design to a one racquet design and so far I haven't been disappointed. The shape of the whisks and the shape and volume of the bowl work in unison to deliver a great mix of what you mix/beat/stack etc. Nothing feels cheap; But then again, I make that statement for a product in this price range. We're not looking at the $35,000 Hobart tap here. The stand is easy to lift and easy to attach. The hammer comes

Maybe my expectations were too high.

I am very disappointed with this product. Doesn't seem to be that durable. The mixer literally shook violently when I tried to knead the cookie dough. The shield is useless. It has a very small opening in an awkward spot for adding ingredients while the blender is running. Every time I wanted to add more ingredients I had to stop the mixer and tilt my head and then carefully inject because the mixer got in the way. The shell is small at the top. You only get one bowl. I need multiple bowls for…

Very cheaply made. Plastic parts that are not durable.

Thinking Hamilton Beach would be cheaper and at the same time a well-known brand, I bought it for my wife. KitchenAid was out of our price range and after reading the reviews I decided on this one. There were many good reviews but also a few negative ones including the plastic hinges breaking which prevented the blender from being lowered into the bowl itself and latched to stay down. Well, it happened to us after the 5th application. The woman decided to bake peanut butter cookies. hold mixer.

  • Poor instructions

Better buy than Kitchenaid and less than half the price!

I am a keen baker and my kitchen hand died an agonizing death. Not happy with it but needed a blender for the holidays. I can easily knock out 12 packs of biscuits and two servings of bread in a day. I unpacked the thing and was impressed with the overall impression. It seems well covered, so the chances of getting flour while assembling it are slim. On the other hand, the mixer will be much more difficult to maintain. The case feels more like plastic than metal, but it makes assembly easier…

My First Blender

Made from durable plastic, this blender has an oversized trigger button and huge speed dial (which makes it feel like my first Fisher Price blender). A few weeks and so far I've made cookie dough, cake dough, buttercream frosting, 4 cup sandwich bun recipe (twice) and 6 cup bread recipe (3 times). Adjustment No grinding, no smell of burning and it never caught fire during the mixing/kneading process. While I dig up this $73 (taxes included) blender. they spoil) Update 3/9/17 I got really…
