Nice idea but wrong

Really nice idea but it took my son very quickly to get used to it and to beat the "plug" leaking everywhere. It is almost impossible to fill in any of the worksheets as the small shapes just move around. Essentially, using a zip-lock bag with tape is the same.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Unreliable

Filled it up to try and it had a hole in it!

It arrived on May 5th and couldn't stand to try it in my preschool class until June 6th! Couldn't even use it as it has a hole and the water seeped out straight away! Very unhappy and disappointed as I missed the June 4th return date!

Great fun toy. Use aloe

I love this outdoor toy and so does my 2 year old. She will solve some puzzles. I highly recommend using pure aloe vera with some water as a filler. When I only used water the pieces either stuck to the plastic or were very runny and didn't stay in place. With aloe, they glide better and don't float out of place. You don't need a lot of filler either. Add in small portions at a time. Overall very very happy with it. You can even create your own background.

Difficult to fill with liquid

To be honest, I'm not satisfied with that. I had a hard time pouring liquid down the hole without making a mess. I chose dish soap. I wish I had opted for clear hand soap instead. The instructions say: add soap, gel, oil or shaving cream. Then you need to put plastic molds inside. It would be better if it was pre-filled and sealed so kids can't open it and spill or eat soap, oil, shaving gel or cream. It comes with several different cards to put in your pocket. The point is to move parts on…

Interesting but not the most exciting experience

This water mat for kids is a good idea; However, it's not as functional as it could be. It instructs a clear bag to be filled with water so the figures can be moved and used with the included practice sheets. However, there must be a certain amount of water, because there is too much water and the figures will not stay in place, or too little water and the figures will not move. Second, task sheets that are interchangeable are often difficult to remove or insert. So it's a good concept in…

Overall it helps develop fine motor skills

This article works great except for the fact that I had to fill it in myself. I didn't notice that when I first saw it. That part was my own oversight. Thing is, I had to fill it myself because I didn't get the right consistency straight away for the little plastic parts to move around nicely when my 3 year old granddaughter played with it. The next disadvantage of filling yourself is that my granddaughter quickly noticed the fork and wanted to take it out. So I basically couldn't let this item
