The hose comes with two washers on the end of the shower head. Use one washer for the shower head and the other washer for connecting the hose to the water supply.

The hose is a bit stiff. It took several attempts to get the hose to twist without pretension. It fixed that pesky leak and it was one of those purchases that makes you wonder why I didn't buy this a few months ago?

The spare metal shower hose I had was rusty. And stain my soul. This is a very good replacement that will NOT rust. It's a bit hard now that it's new, but it does soften up, especially when I use hot water.

Some say a length of garden hose is too expensive. So what? Now, unlike the previous nozzle, we don't have to worry about black mold growing on the ridges. Looks and feels good, if a little stiff, but it works very well for our setup.

I really like these hoses over the metal spool BUT the o-ring seems to deteriorate every few years and there is no way to replace it as it is inside (I have my old one taken and cut with an angled grinder to see if there is a way to replace the o-ring - there isn't). With that being said, I think I'll have to pay every few years. One would think that Hansgrohe would solve this problem given the price of these hoses and make them ready for use.

After my old hose broke off I thought about buying a stainless steel wrapped hose but there were many people who did and complained about the hose breaking and the quality was bad. It's the same as the original so I knew it would fit and because it's smooth there won't be any mold or mildew on the hose that will develop over time. The swivel end is a great benefit that my original hose didn't have. The ends are crimped very tightly so they don't blow off either.

it took me a long time to open the package because our project was delayed and when i did i was disappointed to say the least. Apparently I didn't pay enough attention to the material description which said it has a "plastic shell" with a "metal exterior that gives the shower hose a sleek look". Nonsense. Looks cheap, bulky and doesn't fit well. I can't return it now as I've passed my Revain return deadline, but I'm ordering a true old-school metal replacement. Anyone want to buy it from me?

love these hoses. I also bought a longer 80" for a large shower. They are easy to clean as they are smooth and fit most other manufacturers satin nickel faucets. Kohler, Speakman, Grohe, Moen etc. If you are buying them for the first time ", they are a little stiff and don't hang well. With use they quickly take shape and become soft like a garden hose. The hose itself is nice. Being plastic it won't scratch the surface of the wall etc while it dangles and moves (if you have a glossy Corian wall that's a problem). However, the connecting joint does not rotate easily and the hose is a little stiff, the shower head tends to get stuck in a certain direction, making it very difficult to adjust the direction that the shower head is pointing. For an adult this is not a big problem as you just have to hold the connector and unscrew the hose yourself…
