Before I bought a dog bed I did a lot of research because I wanted a decent bed without paying the $30 to $50 that stores seem to charge. I have a medium sized dog, around 30 pounds, with a tall, lean build. I wanted a bed with good padding and higher sides and a backrest he could snuggle up to. This is a very good deal for the price - well built, good size (slightly roomier than I expected even after checking the dimensions), good looking and comfortable. I have two of these beds. I had one and two dogs. They will try to sleep together in this bed because this is the favorite bed for both of them. They are small to medium sized dogs (a hound mix around 40lbs (2nd photo) and a dashdog mix around 20lbs) so they are good for both. I bought a medium bed with orthopedic insert. This bed is very cheap quality (you get what you pay for). Without an orthotic, the bottom of the bed is literally two layers of fabric, which doesn't seem very comfortable. The orthotic is similar to the "eggbox" foam pads you can buy for human beds, but they are of extremely poor quality. The orthotic usually crumbles and falls apart when touched.
