Good clean screws look like new Some screws (4 or 5) in a box of 100 had dirty threads but were slightly rubbed. I don't know what it was, maybe dirt.

I bought a box of 100 screws because (a) I always need them, (b) the screws are fairly compact and easy to store, and (c) they do it do not spoil. These bolts are just what I needed for a specific job, and it was cheaper and quicker than a trip to Home Depot during quarantine. I needed a slightly longer screw than what I currently use and it was the perfect length and leftover existing hardware could be reused. Good choice if that's what you need.

2" length is ideal for 1 or 2 3/4 plywood fasteners. I bought this hex bolt because I was looking for a 1/4-20 2" hex bolt that I could buy in bulk and use in my Powertec T-rail for my fasteners. I was hoping it would fit into the T- Rail would fit without rotating but it rotates 50% of the time If you push the bolt to the side it works (doesn't rotate) but when the bolt is in the middle of the rail the bolt rotates and won't tighten.But if you fix the screw head with tape, it works well.
