That's Japanese quality for you. Only used twice before the handle fell off. Cannot return it as it is outside the 30 day return window. So be careful! The handle will most likely fall off and it looks like there is no manufacturer warranty.

After breaking 3 Hario glass droppers I finally switched to stainless steel. Advantages? Easy to clean. Industrial chic aesthetics. But it retains heat less well. So not the high-quality coffee I'm used to from Hario. However, I'm happy with the purchase as I can't break another dripper.

I've been using the porcelain V60 for years. They produce a cup of coffee that is superior to any of the many other methods I've tried. BUT, Porcelain V60s are heavy, brittle and unwieldy to hold when hand washed. I broke mine 4 times in a cast iron sink while washing. I like the shape, the grooves (grooves?) and the rubber gripping flange. This is the same dripper that is offered as an option in the Hario V60 drip stand kit.
