Good healthy food for birds.

The vet recommended this for our kennel after a cloacal prolapse (bird, not vet!). Gross - I hope this never happens to your bird. Obviously that's better for her than the fat in the seeds we fed her. She used to always go after the seeds and leave the pellets behind when we fed her formulas. They obviously don't taste as good as the seeds (she didn't want to eat them) but she got used to them when she was on a diet and now she looks forward to us filling her bowl with them just as much as Vor.

Pros
  • Support food for small to medium sized birds
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Diet affects both health and behavior.

I have worked at a number of exotic animal sanctuaries and personally specialize in parrots and related birds (parrots). I would highly recommend Harrison's to all parrot owners. What your bird eats affects both health and behavior. Veterinarians recommend a daily diet of fresh vegetables and Harrison nuts for most parrots, sometimes with fruit or nuts (just a few per week). I myself also like to include sprouted fresh grains and legumes in my diet - additional effort, but very useful! If Iโ€ฆ
