Description of Optimize Stopping Power with Hawk Performance HB569Y.650 LTS Brake Pad
LTS - Light Truck and SUV brake compound. Superior fade resistance. Excellent pad and rotor life. A better way to stop your truck or SUV. Improved braking over OE.
I can't get over paying a stupid amount for brake pads that have outlived the OEM. Seriously, these dusty AF things not only leave horrible dust on my wheels, they've shrunk to 4mm after 1 year and about 40,000 miles. I recommend staying away from these pads and HAWKs.
I replaced these front and rear on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler. They require quite a bit of warm up time and I have a heavy supercharged Jeep and BR6 front rotors, calipers and mounts. Next time back to bearing pads or next time to EBC. So-so on the rocks. i am a wanderer
So far, so good! If you've never dealt with brakes, fear not. They come with the lube needed to apply to the back of the pads. Make sure you have a 15mm box wrench and 13mm for the stop screw. Plus a 6" C-Clamp for squeezing the caliper piston. Do not get grease on the rotor or the side of the brake pads!
Everything looks like decent pads so far, except they've been worn for just over a month. I didn't notice an increase in brake dust, but I didn't wash the jeep because of the cold. Has good braking performance, only replaced the front pads, but also installed 2 new front calipers as the pistons were frozen on one side.
I did a little research and searched the forums for brake pads for my JKU. It's been about a month and I'm honestly impressed with them. The feel and stopping power are amazing. I also installed large Teraflex brake discs. I have three kids to carry and I'm not worried about the quality of the pads and rotors.
I like the way these things bite. Installed on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler and very satisfied. Initial performance was nothing short of impressive---I'll definitely be buying these again when they wear out. Just remember to make sure you don't use both sets of "Sqealers" on the same page like I did. I was too worried about putting them on and didn't realize there was an extra clip until one side was done.
I bought these brake pads after reading reviews on several forums. Installation was easy, as was the break-in procedure. They included a small packet of lube and stickers. I raised a jeep with 35s and the difference from stock pads was noticeable. I'm impressed with these pads and have regained confidence when braking. I noticed some reviews criticizing the lack of braking equipment. I bought many sets of brake pads without any equipment. If I were looking for an all inclusive deal I would have
