Good, but bulky in my opinion.

My 6 year old daughter loved them and although they are really bulky she has yet to complain that they are heavy which I was afraid of. So far she liked them for our hikes and long walks.

Pros
  • My granddaughter loves her hiking shoes, comfortable fit and ankle support, good durability for hiking.
Cons
  • Floor is mostly styrofoam with some rubber...not suitable for hiking.

Good shoes, good price

Nice shoes for the price! My daughter loves her new hiking boots. She said they were comfortable and gave her good support and traction on the trail. Her feet are growing so fast I've opted for cheaper shoes and they are perfect for running a few miles every weekend.

Pros
  • This shoe is not flimsy and durable for outdoor play. They are perfect for my daughter!
Cons
  • It shouldn't take longer than a few months.

My daughter loves books and always goes hiking with them. Upon arrival, however, we couldn't help but notice the lack of a metal hook. We assume a manufacturing defect. We didn't have time for a return/exchange.

Pros
  • Good gracious!! I didn't expect them to be feather light! But I love it because my son hates heavy shoes! Great boots!
Cons
  • May cause blisters or discomfort after wearing for a long time.

Terrible construction

The shoes are very cute, but that's about it. My daughter had ulcers on both ankles from the sharp edges of her shoes after walking. We missed the return window and are now stuck in junk she can't wear without injury. Don't waste money.

Pros
  • Fits great. I wore them to Coopers Rock State Forest in West Virginia with no problem!
Cons
  • Shoes fall apart after a day at school. It's only 6 hours wear time. Terrible.

suitable for medium-weight hikers

I was planning to go hiking a lot this year so the little one needed something better than her flimsy sneakers, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. These are good boots for the price, she says they are very comfortable. We're not going to overdo it, I don't know how well these boots stand up to heavier kids or more aggressive hikers, but for the moderate things we do they're great.

Pros
  • BREATHABLE AND WATERPROOF: The upper is made of breathable Oxford and lightweight synthetic leather that is water-repellent and easy to clean, while the mesh lining keeps children's feet cool and dry.
Cons
  • A few bugs

Awesome Kids Boots/Shoes

son loves it. They are cute and light and support his ankles. Great shoes at a good price, especially for children who have outgrown their shoes too quickly. Worn for life on the trails (Christian Boy Scouts but MUCH MORE), hiking and playing on horseback. Worn several times in dry weather and rain/mud. The tread and even the insoles are still in good condition. I think he will outgrow them before destroying them. Unusual for my boy

Pros
  • SAFETY: Sturdy shoes with anti-collision toe provide extra protection for kids.
Cons
  • little things

Stitching unraveled after 3 days - not waterproof at all either

Bought these for my 7 year old to wear when camping. The shoes fit well and she told me they were comfortable. No blisters during the week she's been using them. We spent the day walking around town in them trying them on before heading out. Unfortunately, they completely lack power. On the third day, one of the boots suddenly came loose at the seams. It's just that one of the threads started to unravel and before we knew it, part of the shoe fell apart. I always carry duct tape with me for…

Pros
  • EVA sole
Cons
  • Not sure
