Perfect fit for your LLY

Perfect fit for my 2004.5 LLY Duramax. I haul almost 20,000 pounds and never see temperatures above 205 degrees. This fan runs about 10 degrees cooler than the factory fan, helping to keep everything cool and efficient.

100% Non-Blocking

Works well when not working, the truck will turn on to cool it down. If you tow it, 50/50 even if you try to block. If you're pulling the hill with some revs it won't stay locked up and if it's never at 100% it'll cool off for a minute and then the temp starts to rise again. The truck remains 220-215.

My old fan ran too late causing the engine to overheat. This Hayden 2886 fan is approximately 3/4 inch longer and easily installs in 15 minutes. I'm towing my 10,000 lb camper laden at over 90 degrees for a 4 hour drive. The temperature never exceeded 200 degrees. I was pedaling more than I wanted to, but as long as my temperature stays low I'm 100% okay with a little extra wind noise. If you have the same problems, be sure to buy this $100 fan.

Pros
  • Engine Cooling & Air Conditioning
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, it's ok

I have a 2005 Chevy Duramax that has typical overheating issues. After reading all the hype about this fan clutch and how it works faster and more accurately, it didn't even work on my first ride when I was towing my toy dump truck on an 81 degree day. The truck overheated on level ground even after I dropped it at 50 mph and the fan clutch still wouldn't engage. My original fan clutch (77,000 miles) made an obvious jet roar long before my truck overheated. This never beeped, even with the 233…
