Worked well but broke down in just 6 weeks

I bought my machine from Seattle Coffee Gear and it's working fine but after only 6 weeks I have to send it back to Saeco for repair as it's prompts me to fill the water tank if it is not empty. Once this happens, there is nothing you can do but turn it off. The machine failed after only six weeks of light use. piss off!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No paint needed

Serious security issue, turns itself on.

GranBaristo Avanti Bought 2-3 years ago, hardly used (only 3-400 cups of coffee). Last week he started acting "funny", now he turns himself on, decides to make coffee or milk froth. Your own, it doesn't matter if there is a milk carafe or not. Obviously the warranty has expired (one year) and I have a difficult decision to make. leave it and keep turning it on and off, or throw it away and save yourself a headache at the sight of expensive junk every day. Definitely not spending another dollar…

Very spirited good for coffee, tea and espresso

I bought it to replace my Saeco Talea touchscreen that was getting on in years (Talea still works after 10 years). Stupidly, I replaced a Saeco (where I had to replace the millstones) with another. Basically, owning an Italian espresso machine is like owning an Italian car - it's fun to drive, which is a shame for all the little hassles that keep it in business half the time. Loaded with fresh, medium-roasted beans, the GranBaristo makes passable lattes and espressos — a far cry from your local

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • There are problems

Great car! suitable for coffee, tea and espresso

I would like to start by saying that this machine needs a maintenance schedule that you must follow. Customers who say this machine doesn't clean the milk carafe after making a milk-based drink are wrong. My Gran Baristo asks if I want to wash the carafe after making a latte or cappuccino. Also, the espresso will be weak if you leave the machine on default, it's always best to program the settings to your liking. Please read the manual and find out what this machine can and cannot do. Coffee…

Great machine if you support it!

I've been using mine for about 3.5 years. I've just checked my machine's stats and have made 3500 drinks so far and have NEVER had a single problem. This is a HUGE statement and achievement for ANY "super" car. That alone could give you the opportunity to stop reading this review and buy this one. My opening statement: if it breaks tomorrow, I'll seriously think about something else. Yes, it's expensive, but you'll only have to buy one of these over time. and it pays off (comfort and…
