Good entry-level racquet, well built and lightweight

Well balanced and lightweight, much better than traditional brands sold in major department stores. Suitable for the age group of 5 to 10 years.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not sure

ideal for one child

Lightweight racket, ideal for one child. My son had just started playing tennis and we were looking for something affordable. The coach saw it and said it suits him.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Medium

Perfect racquet for my young kids

21 inch Perfect racquet size for my 3 and 4 year olds. I took them to play for the first time and was surprised my 4 year old could hit the ball when I threw it to her. Even worked backwards. This racquet works great and has helped her feel comfortable and confident on the court.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Great racket for 48 " kids starting out

Although written for 42" kids it fits my 48" son perfectly. The coach looked at her and asked him to lower his hand while holding the racquet naturally (holding it in the correct position) so that the top of the racquet is about 1-2 inches off the ground. And the coach says she's perfect. We are satisfied with all sides of this racquet.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

False advertising, racket heavy

The only reason I give it one star is FALSE marketing. The name suggests this is a great lightweight racket, but it's actually quite heavy. We bought it last summer but have really started using it now. So I can't return or exchange it I guess (didn't try). My son has trouble controlling his shots because he's used to the full swing and because it's a heavy head he just starts splattering the ball all over the place. He has to cut back on his hitting, which isn't good for the future.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Not a good bat. Too hard. Insufficient elasticity of racket and strings.

In order to beat tennis, the racquet has to give way to the ball. The strings and the ball meet, the strings are first stretched against the desired direction of movement of the ball and then give way to the ball. This racket hits like a solid wood. The racket was left behind as the child is 4 and it was a gift and the return was felt very disappointing. I had a state rating in high school and was the captain of the high school tennis team. I couldn't score a new tennis ball with this racket.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Almost OK

Great entry-level racket for kids!

Head is a great tennis racket brand. I have been using this brand for many years and it is of high quality. My kids were just about to learn so I bought this racket. I'm not sure about you but my kids are very destructive and they missed it by the bell and it kept going. My kids can rock it with ease and the great thing is that it's a real bang for your buck. Make sure you try to choose the right grip size for your child. They can sometimes be difficult to control if the grip is too big. They…

Not bad for the price but not enough.

This is a good little racquet at an affordable price, assuming it's designed for a beginner kid. I suggest not following the size/age chart shown in any of the pictures. Instead, click on the promotional bat photo as it shows a general age range. This shows the age of 4-6 years well. Unfortunately I ignored the age range of the racquet and instead went with the recommendation on the chart, but it's quite small even for my petite 7 year old daughter. Also, it turned out to be a little cheaper…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
