7 degree temperature drop on Samsung 960 EVO 250GB

I have an ASUS IX CODE z270 and I use Samsung as the OS drive. When I first installed the drive, I put the cover back on to hide the M.2 slot. When I noticed that my drive wasn't working as expected, I started looking for solutions. One of the solutions suggested I could have a thermal choke, which I did; It was a controller that was a thermal choke. Before removing the cover, I ran the Samsung Magician Performance Benchmark. Great anodized red heatsink for your NVME A+++ drive

I bought this product purely for the looks but was surprised to see the quality of the materials and workmanship of this product. The package looks like a SATA SSD and then you open it in half to see how nicely and neatly it lays out for installation. Great performance for the price.

I'm shocked at how well this works for me. I have a Samsung 970 EVO Plus. In my original build I used an m.2 motherboard heatsink but due to some build changes I was unable to reinstall it.
