We have both this and the previous model and they both work great. The humidifier does not leak and does not mold if cared for properly. I like the functions: timer, intensity and humidity percentage and heat or cold. I didn't use an essential oil diffuser, but I like that it's on the side so the oils don't ruin the humidifier. Our first one still works after 3 years and this one has held up.

Block falling apart after 2 years. Called the company as they have a 3 year parts and labor warranty. They refused to send a replacement part for the broken part. I am disappointed with the long term quality and that there is no "guarantee"! I believe that the device should have served at least 2 years. Small plastic balls fall out. Every time I fill the container with water, I lose more. At this price I think it should last longer. Wouldn't recommend it.

I've been using this humidifier every night for over a month now. The engine of the unit began to hum loudly. Even if you turn off the device and don't turn off the engine immediately, it will take a few seconds. This is really my only complaint about the product. I've had no problems with this humidifier. Revain had a sale over the Christmas period and I just couldn't pass it up. We heat with gas, which in combination with the already dry air makes the winter season very dry here. Years, more or less disposable. I finally decided to invest in a quality device.
