I have had many pencil sharpeners over the years. electric or not. for sharpening my crayons, but this is the best! This results in a nice long tip without breaking! Great sharpener despite being handmade!

Nice sharpener. I wish the mechanism for attaching it to a table or table top was a little better designed. The L-shaped metal part can sometimes slip out of the groove provided for it. Pay attention to the position when dressing. But it's a good sharpener

I bought a Helix Metal Desktop pencil sharpener to replace another pencil sharpener that didn't work with all of my pencils. Some sharpened well, others didn't. Needless to say I was careful with this sharpener but it works very well with all my pencils. I've tested Helix with the pens I've had the most trouble with and so far it's sharpened every one of them perfectly.
