Description of 🪖 Stainless Steel Helmet Chin Strap Adapter with Ratcheted Quick Release Buckle Kit

METAL TO METAL STRONG - The Helmet Clip is Stainless Steel Constructed. Avoid plastic helmet strap mounts or other chin strap clips where the metal has been altered. EASY TO INSTALL - This is a Kit, designed to make it easy to install on your helmet chin strap. You may need to remove a small plastic clip from the end of your chinstrap. Other than that, you can mount our chin strap adapter without the need of tools or sewing. If you remove the small plastic snap from your helmet and decide later you want to remove the clip, the plastic kam-snap can be replaced esialy. Beware of non-kit clips out there. They require sewing the strap. This would not be safe!. INSTALLS ON HELMET D-RINGS - Scan the QR Code for video! The Helmet Clip uses a Double Nylon Strap Mounting System to quick connect to your helmet. The dual strap system feeds though the helmet D-Rings the same way you would feed your helmet chin strap. The heavy duty stainless utility snaps keeps everything neat. EXTENDS HELMET CHIN STRAP LENGTH - If you are in need of a little more chin strap length for your motorcycle, motocross, or snowmobile helmet, the Helmet Clip may be just what you are looking for as speed clip replacement for your existing retention system. SMOOTH RATCHETED BUCKLE - Our stainless steel buckle is very easy to use, even while wearing gloves. Our research shows our metal ratcheted chin strap was preferred over plastic ratcheted buckles, metal seat belt type buckles or pinch and squeeze together chin strap adapter kits.

Great fast band.

Easy installation with a scan code on the packaging to install the video. Apparently those who complained about the lack of instructions didn't search well. This was clearly stated on the packaging. Installation was easy and the product works surprisingly well.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Works great: Helmets

Easy to use, feels strong. I trust metal more than plastic. - Subtract some stars. In some cases, the clasp attached to the D-ring will simply pop open with simple manipulation. I think the click is not strong enough. Otherwise a perfect product in my opinion. Reading other people's reviews, I think I'm not the only one who has encountered this problem. Workaround: Use a cable tie to secure the latch in the closed position. A little uncertain I think.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

This buckle works well. The women's side fits well and comfortably. The men's side is short so there isn't much room to be loose or tight. A small pinch is allowed. This will push the strap against your neck and away from your chin. I ride with a windshield so not sure if the longer men's side is needed. I'll add if I go without a windshield. I bought 2 and she likes the buckle which is easier to put on and take off. Overall we are happy with these buckles.

The same buckle is used on Shoei helmets.

Edit: I got them back in the end. Turns out it has some pretty sharp edges. 3 stars because it works but is awkward to close. This is the same buckle used on Shoei helmets. Some people comment on how dangerous it is when the latch comes off. If it's installed correctly, the latch doesn't matter. You do NOT just wrap it around both D-rings. Find a video on YouTube. There is a QR code on the video packaging. However, the latch may pop out of the tab when inserted, but it will never come out as…

Best on the market but could use improvement

To get that straight before you start reading. I am very very satisfied with this buckle. It's durable, fast, easy to install and of excellent quality. I bought this for my HD helmet hoping it would be easier to take off. I was hoping that an uncomfortable fit would not require cutting anything from the original tape. This forces you to cut the button on the belts. Luckily for me, and should the manufacturer change, I decided to open the gap wider where the strap goes so I don't have to cut the

fairly easy installation; works well; economical

I had to stop and start the video several times, but other than that it went very smoothly. It wasn't easy to remove the clasp from my strap. butter knife? Not if you have a Bell helmet. This "button" was meant to stay and I needed pliers to remove it. Also, I had to remove all of the slack from my helmet strap to fit snugly in the helmet clip. I was a little worried as I had to take more and more of the long strap out to keep it as snug as possible, like D-rings. The ratchet is slightly longer

Depends on the design of the helmet. I think.

I watched a video online and installed it fairly quickly. I had to completely remove the small strap buckle on the long side to thread the strap through the plastic clip and metal tab. What I found was that even when I used the ENTIRE open strap to make it short enough to secure my helmet tightly under my chin, there was still 6 inches of loose strap I had nowhere to put it. I'm leaving it hanging for now but can't bring myself to cut off the excess because if I ever want to go back to D-rings…

Good start but needs a security update.

I wanted to like this quick release, but I feel like this iteration is more of a prototype than a finished product. As mentioned in other reviews, the latch on the female quick-release end disengages too easily. This causes a security problem. If the strap is not fully re-tightened at the chin, the D-rings can wiggle to release the clasp on the female end, causing it to fully open! The latch should be replaced with a captive screw that doesn't easily unscrew, which I did. I drilled out the…
