Review on πŸͺ– Stainless Steel Helmet Chin Strap Adapter with Ratcheted Quick Release Buckle Kit by Gabriel Rosenberg

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Depends on the design of the helmet. I think.

I watched a video online and installed it fairly quickly. I had to completely remove the small strap buckle on the long side to thread the strap through the plastic clip and metal tab. What I found was that even when I used the ENTIRE open strap to make it short enough to secure my helmet tightly under my chin, there was still 6 inches of loose strap I had nowhere to put it. I'm leaving it hanging for now but can't bring myself to cut off the excess because if I ever want to go back to D-rings or a quick release ECHO (I've had that for two years) so will the strap Short and my helmet is spoiled. FYI: I've been using the ECHO quick release product for two years and the only problem was that it was very difficult to connect at times! I don't know why sometimes it's easy and sometimes seemed impossible. And it rusted quite a bit. It was ugly when I removed it. We hope this new system is made of corrosion resistant stainless steel. I will check the brand of my helmet to see if the straps can be replaced.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Hardly ever
