🦃 Heuck Turkey Timer Pop Up Review

package arrived with plastic with turkey mold carton timers torn and only ONE timer was placed in a small pouch box open at one end. I really needed 2 timers and I'm not happy that someone opened the package and touched the timer to put it in a plastic bag. I will not use this item and it is false advertising! DO NOT BUY!

I used this pop up timer on a 14 pound turkey for Thanksgiving 2020. I've been cooking turkey for over 40 years and still can't find a better place to eat turkey Temperature and what temperature to pull the bird out of the smoker at, so this year I tried this pop up timer. It turned up as advertised and the turkey was moist and delicious. I will definitely use it again next year.

The product came quickly and was easy to use. I used this on a 14.5 lb turkey that I was grilling. After estimating how long it would take to cook but still not jumping out, I used a digital thermometer to make sure the turkey was cooked to my satisfaction and removed it from the heat. As the turkey rested, it emerged. The turkey was good, maybe a little overcooked, but everyone still enjoyed it. I think this item works best as a "fail safe" to keep your bird from overcooking.

The pop-up timer is a simple device that really needs no further review. In truth, these timers are usually great for uncooked/stuffed turkeys, and for 18-24 pound turkeys, they help you know when to add 40-45 minutes (time may vary) to your stuffed/stuffed turkey cook time. Stuffing (to ensure the stuffing/stuffing is thoroughly cooked). However, my wife and I would write a review of the specific functionality of these items if they arrived "new" as ordered.
