Sharp edges for fin lovers

How cool is that for a baby tank?! Looks great but needs a bit of work before getting in the water. There were very sharp, jagged pieces of the mold used to create the skull. I had to use a piece of metal to snap off some of these pieces and sand them down with a nail file. The mold isn't of the highest quality, but the price didn't disappoint.

There are sharp edges that need smoothing, but cute!

Cute! I have this for my girlfriend's beta fish on her desk at work and she loves dinosaurs. I had to get an emery/nail file to smooth out some of the sharp edges so the fish don't rub against themselves or their fins and get injured or sick. I recommend anyone who buys this to wash it first before putting it in the tank/bowl and to look and feel for the jagged edges before using.

Good product for fish and aquatic animals

Before purchasing I read that the two most common problems are 1) peeling paint and 2) sharp teeth and edges. I ordered it anyway, but I took precautions. I filed the teeth and any sharp edges just enough to make them dull or not as sharp but still looking nice, and then soaked them in warm water with some soap for about 20 minutes (maybe longer) and color simply left on or fluffy powder. come off Nothing came off and I put the head in my tank about 3 months ago and it looks cool and my fish is

Nothing for Pisces, but very cute and cool looking.

I read the reviews and decided to buy this product. Now I knew the size and it didn't bother me (skull next to the toothpick for size reference) but the amount of rough edges did bother me. It's meant for the fish to swim around and through, but any edges will surely kill any fish. I spent a total of two hours filing the edges and getting everything smooth enough to be safe. The skull itself is very cute and cool, but we warned that this product is NOT suitable for fish.

  • This is amazing

Nice little skull, poor paint adhesion.

This little T Rex skull was a great addition to my shrimp tank BUT people should be aware that it is a tan color that will flake off after about a week in the water. I pulled it out again, brushed everything off after a minute and threw it back in, it's pure white now but otherwise ok. So if I had to use it again I would definitely soak it in a bucket for a week, scrape the tan "aging" paint off of it and then put it in a tank. I don't know if this stuff is poisonous but I don't want my…
