Set of Hexagon Quilting Templates - 4-inch, 3-inch, 2-inch, 1-inch with 1/4-inch Seam Allowance Review

I love these templates! The only problem I have, and I've read that others have the same problem with patterns in general, is that the patterns slide across the fabric. Here's the best advice I've read online that has worked for me. Use clear athletic tape with tabs on the fabric side of the template. This is a tape that comes in rolls like regular tape. I will definitely buy products from this manufacturer again.

I love these hexagonal stencils. However, it took me a while to realize I could pick up the back once I started from the sharp edge. It just got a lot easier to cut over 1000 hexes for my first hexagonal quilt. I also suggest getting a spinning mat and blade - that's the icing on the cake. Another thing to note, the size of the stencils is measured from the top edge to the bottom edge. Figuratively speaking, a 4" template makes a 4" hex.

I needed a template that would give me a 1 inch finish that my June hex ruler didn't provide so I ordered this kit. One star deducted because there was no explanation on the packaging. the size engraved on the custom template compared to the finished hexagon shape. I took sizes 4" and 3" and measured them with June Taylor's hex ruler and found they were the perfect size, divided 1/2" from the inches on the templates. .
