The filter supplied did not fit the pump supplied. I had to lengthen the mounting hole before installing the filter on the pump. Requires installation with included pigtail connector for a new pump and use of butt crimp connectors to splice to existing power cords. There was very little room in the VST for those butt connectors, and who really wants two more connectors to fail in two hours deep in an outboard, maybe in the middle of a big lake? The engine is already running, so it's a win, but…

As mentioned by other reviewers, you need to cut the OE wiring harness in VST to use the supplied wiring harness. The clamps on the pump are too big for the original wiring harness and cannot be replaced. I have a 2005 Yamaha F90 four stroke outboard. I also had to drill a slightly larger mounting hole to attach the included fuel filter to the pump, which was a major inconvenience. The pump fit and worked after the back was installed. I wouldn't buy it again as I had to cut the OE wiring…
