Should have looked at the length. The short description says 801. I knew it wouldn't be 31 inches long, but he didn't think it would be less than 3 inches. Firstly, I don't know what the heck is going on in the whole world. If you order an ANSI countersink, it will be 4-8 inches depending on the diameter. Metric countersinks are almost always 1/2-2/3 the length. have a reach of 1.75 inches. There's no point in having another tool in the drawer.
Drilled about 25 M6 counterbored holes in 3/4" aluminum plate, some were 6061 and some were cast tool inserts. I used WD40 as a lube and it worked great. 6061 seems a little easier to cut than cast aluminum. Maybe cast aluminum is tougher, not sure. But it worked fine with both. The M6 countersink was definitely at the limit of what my drill press could handle. I have a tiny 1/ 3 HP Grizzly 8" drill. It went through all the countersinks but got quite hot and sometimes the belt would start toβ¦
