Go from hope to shock.

Best money I've spent in a long time! Thanks to them, my drilled assemblies have shifted a bit from a hole or two every time to fit perfectly. I had such a habit of drawing circles with my pencil that I didn't even know it existed unless you could afford it. Sell your wedding ring and buy it, you won't regret it.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Poor heat treatment, immediately lose points.

Heat treatment is poor, some stamps work well. Others immediately lose their meaning. I understand it just takes a light tap to mark the hole and then I use a standard punch to enlarge the hole for drilling. Most of the ones I lost at the moment of 1st or 2nd light blow.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Empty

Good enough for a random project

Needed this set for a long time. They work very well considering their price. The holder is ridiculously ugly but does the job. The kicks don't seem incredibly powerful, but they sometimes work around the house. I don't think I expect them to have great lives in busy professional environments.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works great for my light use.

I was planning to use this set primarily for hardwood work. and very light metalwork. When used in metalworking, I simply make marks with these tools and then finish with a regular center punch. I have read many testimonials from customers who have tried these inexpensive steel marking stamps and been disappointed with the results. You just can't buy a good hardened tool for the price.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not sure

I should have bought this years ago

I always manage to go without it, but looking back it always took a little while to make either a chest puncher or a drill sleeve. What a fool I was wasting time "not wanting" to spend a dime. TO SAVE TIME. Not Starrett, but not $tarrett Price either. Definitely good enough to carry a punch. I bought imperial (fractional) and metric; both. No regret. Use them both.

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons
  • looks

good punches but weak stand

Although the punches are good, the body (or stand) is made of thin stamped sheet metal and looks very weak. If I had to buy again, I'd happily pay more for a stronger stand, or better yet, a closed case. Update: If you want a nicer stand, see "Huot Drill Stand" also on Revain. Update: The set I received contained size 17/32. The Huot counter is better except there is no room for that size (wa wa wahhh).

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
