Get this regularly for my Sun Conure. He loves it even though he experiences it. I dump the rest of the food on the bottom of his cage for him to rummage through later for fun. I also supplement his diet with fresh fruit daily to ensure he is getting all the nutrients.

If you are looking for a treat for your parrot then this is it. But I wouldn't recommend it for a daily balanced diet. My bird loves Katee's varied diet food and it's more balanced. This food is a treat only and is not suitable for your bird as it will make them fussy and unhealthy.

Yes, another bag of Higgins bird seed, Sunburst Conure was ALL bad, rancid and moldy, old and now my bird is sick. Bag after bag was bad. I've learned my lesson. Higgins must have been trying to push the food through because they ordered too much. Oh judging by the bags they bought they had good dates on them but believe me I will never buy from them again. I think I'll report them.

My black cap kennel is not very picky when it comes to food but he does like some things including dried fruit. Many seed bags come loaded with fillers like sunflower seeds, but this one is worth the price. Lots of variety and lots of nutrients. I usually mix several types of food, but this is one of the few that I cook myself and I feel like my bird is getting everything it needs.

I have sunscreen. My little man loves it! The head has been eating it for 6 years. I've tried other Higgins mixes but he doesn't like them as much as this bag. You think he'd be fed up, but no. This is a good mix with a balanced amount of sunflower seeds per serving as too much is not good for the birds but it is a very moderate amount. There is also a good selection of seeds. And it smells SO FRESH and NATURAL! It's good for the price too.
