Finally one that works with Unraid Windows 10 VMs

5 months upgrade - downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars. USB controller works great!. until you need to restart or shut down the virtual machine. Although USB controllers claim to support RESET, they do not appear to be fully compliant with the specification and therefore do not conform. When your VM restarts, it takes a long time to load and then behaves strangely. requires a host reboot. However, it seems that if you want the best possible experience, you will wait and look for the Sonnet…

Great card if you have the know-how

My operating system is Windows 8.1 64. I need to use this card to access a shared drive on my PC with other computers on my network. My shared drives are 4TB each; Both are connected to the docking station. When I first installed the card, Windows didn't install the correct drivers for the chipset on the card. I had to look for the right drivers: ASMedia xHCI Host Controller Driver 1.16.45.1. After I downloaded the drivers, the installation was still difficult as they weren't "signed" by…

Downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars. At first everything was fine, then some ports began to turn off, in order for them to work again, an operating system restart is required. As far as I can tell disabling ports is power related. This card doesn't do a good job of powering or charging devices. I've resorted to a powered USB hub that the connectors keep dropping out of, but they're still pretty fragile and sometimes go dead, which is very annoying. I recommend a USB controller card with an…

Randomly Eject Devices – 2010 Mac Pro

I installed this card in my mid-2010 12-core Mac Pro. The decor was so-so. At first I had trouble reading devices until I restarted my computer. It worked fine at first, but after several hours of file transfer testing, it randomly ejected all devices directly connected to it. The strange thing was that he didn't extract them all at once. There was a cascading effect of dismounting one after the other with about a minute between each. This happened three times during my testing and I found a…
