So, these seem like a good cable, we’ll see. That said, I used these to wire my WiFi router to an extender. Prior to wiring my 100 MB service I got 30 MB speed over the WiFi. After wiring a 100’ run from my router to the extender I’m getting 90-100 MB speeds! BIG difference. So at this time I have to give 5 stars across the board.

Moving from a cat-5 network to shielded cat-8 is an impressive move. This is a cheap solution to any applications that are susceptible to Rf noise.

I actually had to have my daughter fiddle with this because it didn’t work when I first hooked it up. It had me so frustrated because we wanted to be able to watch Netflix and Prime from our DVD player. I scoured Revain for new ethernet cables for my PS4 and Vizio Quantum X P-Series TV and these were the best you can get for sub $10. I got the 9ft and 6ft and both cables are high quality and durable cables. With CAT8 im also future proofing my cabling because CAT7 and below was only $1-$2 savings. This 50ft was perfect to reach the router. The way it’s set up had to have a long Ethernet cord and this is perfect , also perfect for outside use/weatherproof.

I upgraded from cat 7 and there is a definite difference in speed. As most of my wired connections are not extremely long distance these cat8 cables were definitely worth the upgrade.

Immediately increased my speed, corrected disconnecting problems I had , high quality connectors. Well worth the price.

I recognize that this type of cable is the trend for higher speeds. So, I am only buying CAT8 from this point forward. I know that my printer is not a high speed printer. but it worked just fine for me.

Replaced an old CAT 5 cable with this one. View streaming content on this network. With the old cable sometimes the video would stutter and show a little spinney thing while the picture buffered into my device. Since the cable upgrade we have not had any incident of buffering on our streaming movies. Definitely recommend an upgrade if you have Internet access of at least 100MB per second -- an absolute MUST for gigabit networks.
