Low quality. NOT for metal

Purchased to cut some holes in sheet metal on a project machine. They didn't have time to even cut a hole as the teeth were burned out. Suitable for thin plastic or veneer but no more than 1/4 inch as the depth of the hole is very shallow for the saw.

Pros
  • Hole saws
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Cannot run backwards

These hole saw drill bits look decent. I can use them in wood or metal, but my original goal was to make holes in hydroponic PVC tubing. It will still work, it will still drill holes in PVC, but often you'll have to run the hole saw backwards to make a cleaner hole. You can't run them backwards because the hole saw will thread onto the shaft. Running it backwards simply unscrews it. The set screw is only used to hold the drill in place, not the hole saw. Apart from that they look good.

Pros
  • Electric Drill Parts and Accessories
Cons
  • Expensive

It's worth it! About Power & Hand Tools

I have literally dozens of hole saws so I was hesitant about buying them, glad I did. You need to drill 2 22mm diameter holes in a rusty 3/16 corner, with the pilot hole right next to the thick weld that often hardens the metal. The hole must be clean and tidy. Yes, I blued and fried it, but what a test! Got 2 super clean perfect holes! Used a 24mm and made 6 holes in the same rusty corner where there is no weld and it didn't bother him! Each comes with its own mandrel, center drill and Allen…
