.but there is no feeling that it will stay in the ocean with the oncoming waves. It doesn't fit snugly around the top of the foot. Although it is tied as tightly as possible. Looks nice and light but I returned the items as they wouldn't be very useful for what I want. If you just want shallow, still water, they might work just fine.

Let me start by wearing 12EEEE sneakers! I've looked everywhere for wide enough teal shoes! I refuse to wear sandals or pliers (BUY!). After looking at the reviews I felt comfortable trying it. There were enough reviews that sounded like they were broad enough. I decided to go half a size down so I ordered 11.5. Well they arrived today and they fit! Time will tell if they hold up. I will update this review if anything changes.

I've owned several pairs of water shoes over the years. Most of them are uncomfortable and offer little support or functionality. This is the first pair that truly fits and feels like a shoe. Most are more like slippers. Since they fit more like athletic shoes, they gave me peace of mind that they wouldn't slip or slide when I use them for watersports.
