HIKARI Acme X Brightness Driving Vision Motorcycle & Powersports : Parts Review

Not as bright as I expected. It's brighter than regular incandescent bulbs but all leds are mostly bright. I chose this instead of vled and odx but I think it wasn't the best choice I chose. Comparing the prices I think it should cost around $60. B. in the area of similarly bright LEDs.

Imagine my disappointment when I first used the headlights on my INFINITI QX30 Sport and saw amber halogen headlights. Pooh. I read about Hikari LED headlights on some INFINITI forums. The local mechanic installed them for me in less than 30 minutes. I've only had these lights for about 10 days but am very happy with them so far. I'll post an update if they bug or die on me.

There are no dark spots in front of my car. The closest you can get is xenon without the hassle of additional wiring. I have a 2012 Chevy Volt and it's plug and play. They're really bright, good thing I have projection lenses that block the light without disturbing oncoming traffic. They've only had them for a few months, but no problems so far. Not the best picture but you can see the color and brightness of the low beam.

They are smaller than pictured. Not as bright as I expected. I was wondering how they fit the current regulator and LED onto the same heatsink. Thermally that should be a problem. Ordered these as a previous Hikari customer as I really like their lamps, bright and simple. I can honestly say I was impressed again from the moment I received these new bulbs in the mail. They really stripped the assembly down to a very simplified interface. I can say with confidence that the new Acme lamps have exceeded all expectations. Very satisfied with these lamps. Did a lot of research before buying, so many great reviews on all the headlights. The socket ring was not attached to the bulb with the Allen screw. So now the ring is in the headlight housing and the bulb is forcefully inserted. This means I have to disassemble the headlight housing to get the ring out. I install them on a Chrysler 200 and have been installing conversation kits for years. This isn't my first rodeo.
