These BME280 modules are as accurate as possible

I have used several different variations of this module in weather station applications and they all work good when properly placed in a charged Stevenson shield (if outside). Inside, just keep them away from the ESP or Arduino so the microprocessor heat doesn't affect the readings. There are many libraries for interacting with it via I2C and SPI. When accuracy is a priority, don't waste time with the DHTxx series sensors. They're good for approximating temperature, but you'll get incredibly…

Pros
  • Interface: I2C (up to 3.4MHz), SPI (up to 10MHz)
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Excellent all in one environmental measurement

I am using this sensor as part of an Arduino based weather station. It's nice to have all three measurements (humidity, temperature and pressure) in one small package. Don't forget that it can't work with only 5V, 3.3V or you will fry it. Also nice is that the address can be set by pulling the SDO pin up or down. Many other sensors have an SMD resistor on the board that needs to be removed or relocated. This makes it easy to connect 2 sensors to the same I2C bus. I will use one for indoor…

Pros
  • Humidity: 0-100%
Cons
  • Only available in black

Doesn't work no matter what you do.

(See below for more information) I could just get a faulty sensor, but no matter what I do, it won't work. First I tried adafruit bme280 library with test case but it doesn't work. He keeps asking me to check the wiring. It's hard to miss the seemingly clearly labeled SCL and SDA connectors on my Mega, as well as 3.3V and Gnd. I even tried it on my Nano, both real and fake ch340. I love HiLetgo, but to be honest I'm disappointed. Wouldn't buy again. UPDATED: HiLetgo customer support contacted…
