Review on Atmospheric Pressure Temperature Humidity Sensor by HiLetgo: Accurate and Reliable Monitoring by Mike Carter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These BME280 modules are as accurate as possible

I have used several different variations of this module in weather station applications and they all work good when properly placed in a charged Stevenson shield (if outside). Inside, just keep them away from the ESP or Arduino so the microprocessor heat doesn't affect the readings. There are many libraries for interacting with it via I2C and SPI. When accuracy is a priority, don't waste time with the DHTxx series sensors. They're good for approximating temperature, but you'll get incredibly accurate temperature, humidity, and pressure readings with this module.

Pros
  • Interface: I2C (up to 3.4MHz), SPI (up to 10MHz)
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
