Not the best, but not the worst either.

This cam board still works but has poor video quality and cannot turn on face recognition. I recommend buying an ESP32 CAM board with an AI thinker module.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Nothing here

Arrived broken in Computers & Accessories

There were 2 pieces in the package. One might work (still configurable) but the other was hit. The SD card slot on the other side was hit by something small but powerful. I may be able to straighten the contacts, but I can't fix the SD card slot.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • old

Difficulty Level: Computers and Accessories

1 of 3 I bought was DOA. This was the first one I tried to use. I probably spent too long trying to get it to work before trying another one that actually worked. I would like to see a USB port or power input connector as well as other necessary electronics instead of using a separate FTDI module.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Modern

Poor image quality for single board computers

I followed "ESP32-CAM Video Streaming and Face Recognition with Arduino IDE" from randomnerdtutorials. To flash the card I used the recommended settings but I had to use 5V instead of 3V3. As soon as I launched it, the quality wasn't like the others at all. Yes, I removed the protective film from the lens. I had high hopes, maybe I'll try another brand, but it's not what I was hoping for.

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • Some cons
