Description of 🟩 Hillman Square Painted 3 Inch, Model 48268

Ideal for interior wood projects. Flat head with countersinking nibs allows the screw to drive clean and flush to the surface. Square drive for confident stick fit while driving. Not recommended for exterior projects or treated lumber. Green finish complements most wood finishes.

Great heads! best fasteners

We all know the worst thing about a bad screw is the head isn't done right and the box hurts when you try to screw it in and get the job done. This order had no bad heads out of the 75% I've used so far! I'm happy!

Pros
  • price
Cons

Difficult conditions! - Wood Screws

These screws were just what I was looking for. For some reason it's getting harder and harder to find square head screws in my area. The square shank is the easiest to use as the bit cannot pop out. I have trouble pressing hard enough not to dislodge the Phillips sockets and I even missed the star washer due to arthritis in my hands. But the bit locks into the square, so all I have to do is pull the trigger.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Good screws and very difficult to tear the head off them.

The list items are wrong when they say "Ideal for indoor wood projects" and "Not recommended for outdoor projects or processed wood". These are externally coated screws that can be used with treated wood. Also not sure why they call them green as the color is much closer to a dark grey. I have built many outdoor activities on our few acres of high desert and the most recent was remodeling a 36 foot section of a 2X timber walkway. It can be high desert but we have a lot of snow and it's hard to…
