We used these to reattach wooden battens that had come loose from cross members (I don't do fences - that's the term). I chose the horizontal planks (which the pickets are attached to) on our windswept backyard fence. It's way, way better than the crappy nails that the original do-it-yourselfers used and drove in easily with my Milwaukee cordless screwdriver with the right bit.

Pros: 1. I like that they are very easy to guide.2. No problem with some slip when driving.3. It's much less likely to splinter if screwed near the end of the panel or through something thin.4. I've bought and used so many exterior screws and fasteners these are by far my favorites. If used correctly they won't split your wood, they sit flush every time and hold up like a dream! I think back to how screws used to be and how much engineering has gone into them over the past 20 years. This is madness. They are high tech and worth every penny. I highly recommend.
