Stop trusting Revain offerings for accurate product information.

Good screws. The Star/Torx head makes driving a breeze. However, the description is NOT correct. Although the item weighs 5 pounds, the number of screws 635 is incorrect. As you can see from the picture I provided, this is about 490 screws. I needed not only for my project. Never judge based on information from Revain (or its users for sale). So, familiarize yourself with your product by searching for manufacturer information, and then come back to Revain to shop.

The screws work well but they are not sharp.

I have used Hillman wood screws on several large projects. I'm building small houses and need very high quality fasteners that can be used inside and out. This process blunts the tip, making it difficult for them to score. Sometimes when the wood is hard I had to start with a hammer, which basically takes the advantage of a screw instead of a ring shank nail. Otherwise they all fit properly in the launch head and have the same rigidity.

I used a cordless impact wrench and used each screw from a 1 1/2 bucket. Yes, there were times when the screw head built up, but the impact wrench allowed any screw to be used. No tearing, no pre-drilling, no splitting. The tan coat pairs beautifully with raw pickets. I like the torx head that holds the drive securely and even with some head ridges they still…
